OK, so I give in and I'm going to attempt to keep a blog. We'll see how it goes!
Kelly is already 38 weeks, almost 9 months! Time really does fly.
Kelly updates:
1. She crawls and is super fast now. She gets into everything. Look away for a second, and she's found a gift I wrapped and is in the process of unwrapping it. I hide it under her crib, and then my smart girl is under her crib trying to retrieve it.
2. She loves her mommy most (of course!), daddy second. However, daddy is best at making our little tike laugh her precious laugh.
3. I love eating out with Kelly! I never knew so many restaurants were accomodating to babies. Cheesecake Factory gave her sliced bananas and cut up toast without me even asking, Japanese and Korean restaurants will give her cubes of tofu. She just sits in her high chair, stuffs her face with bananas, tofu, or graduate puffs and only cries when she's out of food.
4. Ricky & I settled into parenthood (finally) and now, we're loving it. Even when Kelly didn't sleep that one night from 1AM to 4AM and just wanted to play in our bed, we just laughed at her antics and couldn't get mad (surprisingly). If she decides to do this regularly...that's a different story.
5. A few friends have had babies recently...I kinda sorta miss having a newborn. Am I crazy? Someone talk some sense into me.
6. Kelly loves loves loves her Pooh bear. If she's got Pooh, all is good. We lug Pooh EVERYWHERE with us, just in case she gets fussy and needs him. But Ricky and I agreed, Pooh is better than a ginourmous pillow or blanket, or something ugly. Only downside, I have to wash Pooh twice a week and must time it in between naps.
7. Kelly is really good in her Jeep walker. She manuevers around the island in the kitchen, reverses and does U-turns when she hits the wall or a corner, and she likes honking. She's a better driver than many Asian women I see in Diamond Bar. Yes, I'm an Asian woman too. But in my defense, I've been told I'm a good driver...for an Asian woman.
8. I've been wanting to take Kelly to the Huntington Library for a while now. I grew up right by it and went there a lot as a kid and have good memories of the place. Ricky finally obliged and we're going during our spring break! Finally!! Any other mommies and daddies wanna go with us?
9. Watching the Olympics has motivated me to give Kelly ice skating lessons when she's older. I took ice skating lessons for a few months when I was 7, but I remember cutting my chin bad and I stopped after that.
10. Kelly now likes to stand and take practice steps with help. She puts her cute little butt up in the air and tries to push up with her hands to stand but always needs assistance. Regardless, it's a cute, good attempt.
Our little rascal...
